About the author

Fiona Reeves

author with booksFiona Reeves lives in Manchester, UK with her husband Mark, and two children. Since their cat, Bertie, died at the 'geriatric' age of 18 they now have two pet gerbils (which the kids named Jason and Gram). The gerbils are both very tame, but Gram is the most bold and adventurous.

Fiona's son was diagnosed with autism when he was 6 years old, and this has inspired her to write some books to help him. Her first book, 'The Children's Guide To Autism' was her way of telling her son and his friends about his diagnosis, since he is a boy who loves to read. It was published on Amazon in World Autism Awareness Week 2015.

Fiona's second book 'The Children's Guide To Things People Say (but don't really mean)' is a much longer book, about UK sayings / metaphors / idioms / phrases people use that aren't meant to be taken literally. It was a much harder book to write and took a lot longer too! Published on Amazon in 2016. The paperback version has pictures you can colour in.
